Driving Directions

From Leesburg, VA: Take Route 7 West for about 2 miles. At the top of a long hill, exit to the right on Route 9 towards Hillsboro (at bottom of exit ramp turn right). Follow Route 9 for about 8 miles until you come to the town of Hillsboro. Continue on through Hillsboro, and go approximately 2 more miles. Turn right on Route 671, the Harpers Ferry Road (there is a traffic light here). Go 1.3 miles, then turn left on Kidwell Road (Route 787); this is a gravel road. Take the fourth driveway on the right; there is a rock which has the name Windchase on it.  Approximate driving time:  25 minutes. 

From Purcellville, VA: Take Route 690 North for about 5 miles, until you come to a stop sign at Route 9. Turn left (you are now in Hillsboro). Continue on through Hillsboro, and approximately 2 more miles. Turn right on Route 671, the Harpers Ferry Road (there is a traffic light here). Go 1.3 miles, then turn left on Kidwell Road (Route 787); this is a gravel road. Take the fourth driveway on the right; there is a rock which has the name Windchase on it.  Approximate driving time:  15 minutes. 

From Frederick, MD: Take Route 340 West and Route 15 South (they run together). Where the two roads split, stay on Route 340, towards Charles Town, WV and Harpers Ferry, WV. Follow 340 altogether about 15 miles, until it narrows down from 4 lanes to 2 and crosses the Potomac River into Virginia. Immediately after crossing the river, take the first left (at a traffic light, by the gas station) onto Route 671, the Harpers Ferry Road. Follow this for just over 6 miles, then turn right on Kidwell Road (Route 787), this is a gravel road. Take the fourth driveway on the right; there is a rock which has the name Windchase on it.  Approximate driving time:  30 minutes. 

From Dulles Airport: Exit the Airport and take the first exit to the right, this is the Greenway (Toll Road) towards Leesburg. When you get to Leesburg, stay to the left, and get on Route 7 West. Follow Route 7 West for a couple of miles. At the top of a long hill, exit to the right on Route 9 towards Hillsboro (at bottom of exit ramp turn right). Follow Route 9 for about 8 miles until you come to the town of Hillsboro. Continue on through Hillsboro, and approximately 2 more miles. Turn right on Route 671, the Harpers Ferry Road (there is a traffic light here). Go 1.3 miles, then turn left on Kidwell Road (Route 787); this is a gravel road. From Washington DC:  Take Interstate 66 West, then exit off on the Dulles Airport Toll Road (route 267).  Follow the toll road until you pass the turnoff for Dulles Airport, then follow the Greenway (Toll Road) towards Leesburg. When you get to Leesburg, stay to the left, and get on Route 7 West. Follow Route 7 West for a couple of miles. At the top of a long hill, exit to the right on Route 9 towards Hillsboro (at bottom of exit ramp turn right). Follow Route 9 for about 8 miles until you come to the town of Hillsboro. Continue on through Hillsboro, and approximately 2 more miles. Turn right on Route 671, the Harpers Ferry Road (there is a traffic light here). Go 1.3 miles, then turn left on Kidwell Road (Route 787); this is a gravel road. Take the fourth driveway on the right; there is a rock which has the name Windchase on it.  Approximate driving time:  50 to 60 minutes, depending on traffic. 

From Charles Town, WV:  Follow 340 East, past Harpers Ferry, and cross the bridge over the Potomac into Virginia.  At the first traffic light (by the gas station), turn right onto Route 671, the Harpers Ferry Road. Follow this for just over 6 miles, then turn right on Kidwell Road (Route 787), this is a gravel road. Take the fourth driveway on the right; there is a rock which has the name Windchase on it.  Approximate driving time:  20 minutes.
